Make up Storage Ideas
Once your makeup collection starts to pile up, you have to consider different make up storage ideas. It keeps everything in order, they also make it easier to find items that you need in a flash. It also keeps your makeup clean and prevents it from being contaminated by other makeup. Lastly, it protects your makeup from being smashed by heavier makeup compartments or being scratched.
You don't have to buy make up storage boxes to store your makeup. There are many ways to sort out your makeup without having to rely on conventional make up storage ideas.
Use old cardboard boxes as dividers for any makeup storage that you plan to use. The idea here is to be able to separate the makeup from one another. You may customize the dividers according to the diameter of your makeup blush or foundation. A regular drawer or cabinet would turn into an instant storage with these dividers. Use medicine organizers. Since makeup comes in smaller elements, you may choose boxes intended for pills as well. Closet organizers are also good as travel purses. You could simply hang them from a hook and all your stuff could be seen in clear plastic containers. When traveling, you could simply hang them from your hotel door or cabinet.
Filter out the makeup that you have not been using for months already. Give away or dispose of unused makeup instead of letting them collect dust and germs from your drawer. Label all your makeup. It would be easier to keep track of your inventory without having to search through your entire collection. Also this would prevent you from purchasing cosmetics twice. Sort your makeup by categories, then by color, or by brands. In the beginning, you may have to try different brands just to discover your holy grail, but once you have that figured out already you would not need to keep on buying things you would not use.
Keeping your makeup organized may be tedious, but it will save you time and makeup in the long run. More information on make up storage is available here http://makeupstorage.org/
