Facts about Eyeshadow Makeup

When it comes to eyeshadow makeup is possibly the trickiest creation to apply. This is because the eyes have no genuine boundaries. According to the makeup experts, every shape you make using eyeshadows can get you to unusual realms. Eyeshadows do not merely make your eyes seem bigger, but they can also enhance them. Nevertheless, it is one of the most difficult makeup products to apply. Designing a wonderful shade may often take some practice, but with a few expert tips and techniques, you can do it easily.

The hectic job schedule of the modern business woman provides little time for eyeshadow makeup application. The same goes for mothers with children that need tending to. It is stressful to have to bring the kids to school looking the same way you did when you first woke up. Of course, you don't have much time. But the good news is that you can still look great with some effortless short cuts. A good plan can really make the difference. Cosmetics are intended to enhance your natural attractiveness, so don't go too far away. You really only need the basics which include moisturizer, foundation, blush, mascara, eyeshadow and eye liner.

Glitter eyeshadow makeup has been around for ages. Nowadays, sparkle makeup is a lot friendlier and lasts longer too. The result of today's eyeshadow makeup is no longer like the inexpensive glitter you might use for art and expertise. Today's eyeshadow makeup is more attractive and stays on longer then the crumbly fairy dust of the past.

Asian eyeshadow makeup differs from others. The Chinese, Japanese and Thai people have creaseless eyelids. In contrast, the Middle Eastern and Indian eyes have wrinkly eyelids. The crease of the eye is enhanced to give meaning to the eyes. Asian eyes can carry off darker and lively shades due to the darker skin tones. Otherwise the method of applying the makeup is the same as used in Caucasian eyes. Eyeshadow makeup usually begins by touching the eyes with creams that fill wrinkles and take away tension. That is followed by the transparent foundation to help bring out the color of the eyeshadow.

You can start the makeup process with a darker eyeshadow that is brushed into the outer edge while the inner edge takes a lighter shade. The eyelash is emphasized with a streak of darker eyeshadow along the edge. Eyebrows enhance the eyes, therefore it is best to shape, brush and fix them with the help of a gel. Then you can apply mascara which also adds volume to the lashes. Shimmery eyeshadows make the Asian eyes more attention-grabbing. The creaseless eyes can be done up with a few Asian eye makeup tricks. A gray or brown eyeshadow can be applied to create a false crease. The darker shades of eyeshadow can be applied along the eyelash and then the rest of the eye is highlighted with a lighter shade. Don't be afraid to experiment with your individual eyeshadow makeup with modern colors such as pinks and roses.

Eye Makeup Tricks for Eyeshadow

We all wonder how those Hollywood makeup artists achieve those stunning eye makeup effects on all those famous actresses. We try over and over again, and fail over and over again, but we never seem to achieve even half of the effect that they accomplish every time they hold a makeup brush. Their secret, aside from years and years of practice, is the right techniques. To help you achieve those "Bette Davis Eyes"", here are few eye makeup tricks you can try.

Makeup is always best with a little foundation. Even if you have smooth skin, it's best that you put a thin layer of foundation on it. Once you are done with it, start applying eye shadow on your eyes. Apply a light colored eyeshadow on it the lids and blend them gently. You can also use a dab of foundation (preferably liquid) for this step.

Next step is to apply a neutral colored eyeshadow; it's best that you choose brown or grey for this step. Apply this in the middle area of the eyelid and upwards towards the eyebrows. Do not overdo the shadow; it's best that you apply this layer by layer. Remember it's easy to add on more make-up, but it's harder to start over.

Lastly, finish your look with a darker shade of eyeliner on both the upper and lower lids. You can also add a darker color underneath the eye to let the eyes pop up more. Blend all colors with your fingers so that your eyeshadow looks cohesive.

If you have small or closely set eyes, you can create larger looking eyes by dabbing a bit of white eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eyelid. Doing this makes your eyes look that they are set wider apart than they actually are. If you have small eyes, definitely avoid using darker shades or using eyeliner in the inner lid. On the other hand, if your eyes are set farther apart than usual, you would need to do the reverse. Apply lighter eyeshadow on the entire lid and apply a colored (medium shade) shadow to the inner corners and extend it to the outer corner of your lid. Line your eyes with liner.

Once you have finished with your eyeshadow, finish your look with an eyelash curler and mascara. Most women prefer black mascara; even those who have red or blond hair can use mascara. Apply it to the lower side of the upper lashes; starting with the base (closest to the eye) and move towards the tip. Another versatile choice is clear mascara, which can be used in many different ways. As you apply mascara, separate your lashes using your mascara wand. For thicker lashes, apply 2-3 coats of your favorite brand.

What is Mineral Eyeshadow?

The cosmetics industry is coming up with new types of eyeshadow everyday. Although there are number of traditional powder and cream eyeshadow, there is one that catches everyone attention and that is Mineral Eyeshadow. It has attracted the attention of us all. The name itself sounds really interesting. Besides eyeshadow, the line also includes blush colors and foundation. The main benefit of mineral eyeshadow is that it not only makes your eyes look marvelous, but it is also good for your skin. It does not have any kind of side effects that will cause skin rashes. It has been discovered that some women suffer from skin problems like irritation or allergies when they apply creamy or oily makeup.

Some eyeshadow chemicals do not complement some skin types and that is why they cause irritation and itching. When this happens you have to use harsh makeup removers or cleansers to remove these products, which in return can result in more irritation and can strip the skin off its natural moisture and oils. This ultimately causes dry, and irritated skin. On the other hand, there is no such problem while using mineral eyeshadow. It is completely natural, containing natural minerals in place of synthetic and heavy oily ingredients. In addition to all this, the makeup can be easily removed without using much effort or harsh cleansers. It comes in various beautiful shades, which can be easily mixed up with the other shades making it more useful and practical. You can mix different shades to get the exact shade you desire.

When applying it, first use some of the mineral foundation across your eyelid and eyebrow bone area with the help of an eyeshadow brush. This not only gives your eyeshadow colors a strong foundation, but it also allows for you to blend colors smoothly, which will give a great natural look to your eyes. This also helps to avoid creases, in case your skin is oily. It makes a smoother and evenly toned surface for long lasting application.
Another great benefit of using mineral eyeshadow is that they are made up using organic chemicals. This sends a message of being socially and environmentally responsible when you use mineral eyeshadow along with other mineral cosmetics. You do not only help yourself by doing this, but you also do something for the environment you live in. After all we owe something to this society and environment, and we can give a little back by doing this.
