How to Remove Eyeshadow
You would have read so many articles about the application tips, usage tips and techniques related to the eyeshadow. But what most of us forget is that removal of eyeshadow is also a very technical process. If not removed properly it can cause certain skin related problems. Here are some of the tips on how you should remove your eyeshadow without painful burning or irritation. Try using ‘tear free’ baby shampoo. If you think it’s just for the use of your baby, think again. Baby shampoos are really helpful in removing the mascara, eyeliner and the eyeshadow on your face. The reason why we are suggesting that you use baby shampoo is because eye makeup removers are really costly, and when you use eyeshadow on your eyes frequently, it can add up to be a large sum of money. Baby shampoos are really inexpensive and pain free. They are really affordable and will remove your eyeshadow without burning.
Start with wetting your eyes with normal tap water. Do not use too cold or too hot water as it can react with the eyeshadow chemicals. Apply small amounts of the baby shampoo and then massage it gently above your eyes. Keep massaging until some foam appears. When sufficient foam appears above your eyes, wash it off with the lukewarm water and you are finished. If you are not very comfortable using the baby shampoo to remove your eyeshadow, you can also use baby wipes. Though these wipes are designed for the bottom of a baby, they are also really effective in eyeshadow removal.
Close your eyes and then simply massage with the cloth on your eyelashes below your eyes. You can also use petroleum jelly in case you do not want the risk of getting the liquid into your eyes. Petroleum jelly removes the eye makeup instantly – you do not have to wait for anything. You can use olive oil as well for the removal of your eyeshadow. Just dip a cotton ball or a piece of tissue in the oil and rub it gently above your eyelid. You will see that your eyeshadow disappears without any delay. If a situation comes about, worse comes to worse, you can take a little drop of unscented lotion and massage over your eyelid. Just make sure it does not go inside your eyes. So make sure to keep your eyes closed while this process.
